Yes, a student can change their programme. However, any change in programme requires the student to begin again from Year 1 (Diploma level). Credits from the previous programme cannot be transferred to a different programme.

On completion, a student has broadly 3 career trajectories: (1) Placement/Employment – in the skill sector they trained in, (2) Entrepreneurship – starting their own business/start-up, or (3) Higher Education – pursuing further academic qualifications such as PG Diploma or other Master's programmes.

After completing a Bachelor's degree from SSE, students can pursue a PG Diploma from SSE in the same stream. Alternatively, they can apply for a Bachelor in a different discipline if they wish to change streams. A WITP Bachelor graduate also has 3 years of work experience, providing an edge in higher education applications.

Since the Bachelor is a Work Integrated Training Programme (WITP), students completing it will have gained 3 years of documented industry work experience. This provides them with a significant edge over regular graduates when applying for jobs in the same sector.

No. SSE does not guarantee placement. However, placement assistance is facilitated locally through TISS-empanelled Service Providers based on the student's merit and performance. The TISS brand also makes graduates stand out in the job market.

Graduates of the Hotel Management/Hospitality programme can work in restaurants, food chains, cruise ships, resort management, airline catering, cabin services, state tourism corporations, institutional/industrial catering, the Indian Navy, multinational companies' hospitality services, and can also work as faculty in Hotel Management institutes.

All students must abide by the rules and regulations, code of conduct, policies, and procedures governing students, as laid down by the Institute from time to time. Violation of these rules can lead to disciplinary action.

Each programme requires a minimum number of total credits to be completed satisfactorily for the award of a degree. Credits are assigned to courses, internships, OJT, and other activities, and must be completed within the minimum and maximum period of study.

Yes. Admission is 'provisional' until all mandatory documents are submitted, verified, and approved. If a candidate is found ineligible at any stage (after selection, after admission, or after course commencement), admission will be cancelled. Fees will be refunded as per refund rules in such cases.

Yes. Student admission to SSE skill programmes is subject to the availability of a local KPST (industry partner) at the specified location across India. Programmes are only offered at locations where minimum batch size and local KPST presence are confirmed.

A Bonafide Student is a person enrolled in an accredited institution in a sufficient number of courses to be classified as a full-time regular student. At TISS SSE, this means a student officially enrolled in a skill programme, attending all required sessions including OJT, and maintaining the required academic and training progress.
